Shirley Lacroix is currently the Director of Product Management for K-12 Humanities, including Music, with Pearson and holds a Ph.D. from the University of Rhode Island. With over twenty years of teaching experience, she taught elementary general music and middle/high school choral music in the Northeast. Before joining Pearson, she was an Associate Professor of Education at Rhode Island College where she taught elementary general music in the campus laboratory school and courses for undergraduate and graduate students in music education. Shirley has lead workshops and professional development sessions across the country and before joining Pearson was a Contributing Author of Silver Burdett Making Music.

In addition to Shirley’s love of music, she has a passion for technology and all things Apple!
